Creative Tokyo is a community we run at Skydea. We host at least one event per month to let creatives mingle. We also invite speakers for talks, visit museums, and run design thinking workshops, all with the goal of fostering a thriving international creative community in Tokyo.
You may know us as Tokyo Design, where we hosted the Designer Hangouts. We're more inclusive of other creatives now!

Our Story
Creative Tokyo (formerly Tokyo Design) had its humble beginnings in May 2018 at a Shibuya HUB, capped at 10 people so the store wouldn't kick us out. We just wanted some designer friends, and there weren't a lot of active international design groups in Tokyo. (It's pretty lonely when you just arrive in a city where you don't have connections.)
Today, Creative Tokyo is a large group of 2,000+ members that regularly holds events. Occasionally, we'll do larger-scale workshops, check out a design exhibit, or just grab dinner together.
We've met many friends here, and we hope you do too.
